3D Modeling - Week 1: 3D Cannon Model and UE4

My experience with Maya has been enjoyable so far! I know I really love working in Maya and creating 3D models, however I need to learn the shortcuts better and figure out some of the quirks and best practices.

Regardless, I am pleased with how the model turned out, and the tutorial that taught this model in class was extremely helpful.


This first picture is my final model after I added my personal touch to the cannon.


This screenshot is my final wireframe.

Lastly, this is my canon model pulled into UE4 engine. This is the first time I've ever open UE4 and I am sure it will not be the last time.

Overall this was a great homework assignment that helped me learn numerous different methods in Maya to do the same thing. I will definitely be building on these beginning skills to model better and more efficiently.
